Awesome, my son is Marine. He's at 29 Palms in training. Hates 29 Palms.

I managed to stay on the east coast my entire time in, but I've heard that nearly everyone hates 29 Palms, or 29 Stumps as we've nicknamed it. Semper fi!

Semper Fi! I deployed with Marines from 29 Palms in Iraq back in 2008. I asked them what it was like: "Just like Iraq, only it has a McDonalds!" I loved their answer. I'm going to 29 Palms in 2 weeks to visit my son.

US Army 1988-90, 22nd Maintenance Co. Heilbronn, Germany. Recalled in January of 1991-May 1991, wandered around Kuwait & Saudi Arabia (literally wandered around). Ohio Army National Guard 1991-1994, 145th Mash, Camp Perry.
